Keronic was founded in 2017 by Kees Kremer, Robin Putters, and Nick Krijgsman, three seasoned experts in asset management for grid operators. With decades of experience in designing electricity, gas, telecom, and water networks, they developed a clear vision to address the challenges of the energy transition.

Highly reliable utilities, built to scale
Grid operators need asset management systems that keep networks operationally secure, safe, and scalable.
Underground-first accuracy with GIS
Because most assets are underground, precise GIS documentation and positioning are essential for trustworthy network visibility.
Always up-to-date network insight
Up-to-date asset registration data helps operators make confident decisions for maintenance, upgrades, and expansion.
Safer excavations, fewer incidents
Accurate location data reduces excavation risks and supports safe, efficient work in dense infrastructure areas.
At the heart of this process is GE SmallworldTM, the leading IT platform from GE Vernova, used by grid operators globally to design networks and register assets.
At Keronic we work for all major Dutch grid operators, providing support with a wide range of services – from strategic advice, project management, and software development in the Magik™ programming language to professional training.

The Keronic software tools take work off your hands, automate routine tasks and improve the quality of data and network design in general. Without exception, the Keronic Software products are high-quality solutions built for and by specialists on
the GE Smallworld™ platform.
The Variants Database (VRDB) enables users to create grid designs providing version control, without imposing structural constraints.
Update your GIS Database with CAD data from ‘registration at the trench’.
Packaging functionality that saves time and effort when deploying
your MagikTM code.
Professional software development services for the GE SmallworldTM environment.
The Netherlands is known for its densely built infrastructure and, at the same time, for the very high reliability of its utility networks. To keep these networks operationally secure, safe, and scalable, grid operators must be able to rely on thorough and up-to-date network asset management systems.
Since most of the network is underground, accurate documentation and precise positioning in a Geographic Information System (GIS) are essential. This not only prevents excavation incidents but also enables operators to safely maintain, expand, and modernize their networks.
Since our foundation in 2017 we have grown into the largest and youngest (!) GE SmallworldTM expert team in the Benelux also serving clients in Germany and the United Kingdom.

All employees who join the Keronic consultancy team undergo an internal training program of three consecutive months, during which they are thoroughly educated in the context of Asset Management. They gain a complete understanding of the various components and features of the GE SmallworldTM platform and development in the Magik programming environment.
After completing the training program, consultants continue to sharpen their knowledge and skills through weekly knowledge sessions at the office in ’s-Hertogenbosch. This approach enables the team to share and effectively apply best practices.
On our LinkedIn we share what we build and learn like GE Smallworld™ implementations, GIS data migrations, solution architecture, plus best practices on quality and security. We also post events, customer stories, and team updates. Follow for practical insights and company news.
